How Does the Maker (MKR) Syndicate Work?

Exchange users can participate in The Syndicate event by staking at least 5,000 CRO. The staking duration is 30 days. Users will also need to subscribe to CRO tokens to get their allocation of discounted MKR.

  1. At the time of subscription, the price of MKR is set at 1 MKR = 3032.637954 CRO
  2. After availing 50% discount, users will get 1 MKR at half price = 1516.3190 CRO
  3. Based on their limits, users will apply their CRO while subscribing to MKR in the sale.
  4. In case the sale experiences 100% subscription, investors will get their expected MKR tokens based on their subscription value. If it is oversubscribed, the unused CRO tokens will be refunded, and users will receive MKR on a prorated basis.

Ascertaining Final Allocation

The total allocation is 1109.50848 MKR. In case of oversubscription, which is a regular occurrence on these events, you can use this formula to determine the final allocation you’ll receive on a prorated basis:

24 hours post the expiry of the subscription period, the exchange will determine the user’s final allocation of MKR. You will have the option to agree or reject once the final allocation is confirmed. Then, the unused CRO will be refunded to your balance in the Exchange.
