One of India’s popular Hindi Media platform wrote an article titled “FREE में मिल सकता है Bitcoin, इस Trick से आप भी बन जाएंगे Rich!” (Translation: Get Bitcoin for Free, use this trick that can make you rich”)
Bitcoin, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency is being revered as a hedge against the economy by several prominent people in the world, they are putting in efforts to educate the people about the benefits and the risks of crypto investment, but in India, one media channel Zee News is saying you can get Bitcoin for free and that can make you rich.
And the worst part is, there actually is no trick or suggestion on how to do it in the article, which has been archived here in case the channel decides to delete it later.

The sheer disregard for truth about crypto, no relation to the title and no valuable information in the article is appalling to say the least. And yet, I won’t be surprised if this is article will be used as a source in some report by some agency.
Bitcoin is used for Money laundering and yet you should get it for free
Its not an article but a listicle with five points and each one with a stock image of Bitcoin. Here’s the rough translation of what each point says!
- BTC price is INR 24.73 lakhs ($34000)
- Bitcoin launched in 2008 with no approval from Central bank or government
- There are many countries in the world where Bitcoin can be used as currency.
- Sources say Bitcoin is used a lot for Black Money.
- You can also earn Bitcoin for free. All the companies in the world pay Bitcoin for surveys, shopping and crypto mining. You can join such points and buy Bitcoin. Other than these, you can earn Crypto points from Crypto reward shopping app.
As any Crypto trader or investor will tell you, this is not the whole truth. Zee News ought to be more responsible in their reporting. In the article, nowhere there is mention of where one can start earning these “Crypto points”, so what is the trick to get rich quick that they claim in the title? Google search and then get scammed by so many phishing websites?
Zee News is receiving flak on twitter for the misreporting from crypto enthusiasts.
Zee News should remove this article from their site. This is our appeal to them.
