India Crypto Relief Fund contributes to Healthcare Initiative Swasthya Ghar Tak

The India Crypto Relief Fund has contributed INR 1.5 crores to a healthcare initiative called Swasthya Ghar Tak. It was launched by a start-up from the super-specialty healthcare segment, DoctCo.  The project aims at providing door-to-door treatment services for COVID cases.

As the name suggests, the initiative aims at providing doorstep healthcare services, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 areas. These areas have a dearth of super-specialty hospitals and doctors; therefore, they are of prime focus.

The Project

This drive is the brainchild of Nimith Agarwal, founder of DoctCo. He had faced similar challenges during his own family’s struggle to find a super-specialty healthcare center. This incident prompted him to come up with Swasthya Ghar Tak.

The project makes use of mobile telemedical buses equipped with thermal scanners, oximeters, ECG machines, and other medical devices.

A three-member medical staff and one doctor are always available on each bus. The team provides care for not only COVID but also diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.

Initially, they had just one bus which served 160 villages in and around Aligarh, covered a population of 2.5 lakhs, screened 21,000 people, and treated 4200 patients during the second wave of COVID infections.

The Contribution

India Crypto Relief, founded by Polygon CEO Sandeep Nailwal, came on board as an investor, and Lung Care Foundation came as a partner for Swasthya Ghar Tak.
The Fund brought an investment of INR 1.5 crores.

As per a report from Times of India, on August 13, Nimith’s eyes were glimmering with pride as 11 telemedical buses were not only added to the fleet but were also flagged off by Uttar Pradesh’s Hon’ble Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel from the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow.

The initiative will now cover almost 2.7 million of the population across Meerut, Aligarh, Varanasi, Lucknow, and other nearby areas.

Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon and the Founder of the India Crypto Relief Fund, commented, “Swasthya Ghar Tak will be providing access to testing, diagnostics and treatment of non-communicable disease in small towns and villages of Uttar Pradesh and Crypto Relief Fund will help support the needs of critical healthcare requirements by assisting them with available resources. It is a mammoth task to cover so many villages and reach out to lakhs of people that Swasthya Ghar Tak is taking up. India Crypto Relief is committed to providing help in every way possible to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure.”

Necessity is the mother of all innovations. Every solution begins with a problem to solve. Once you start moving, others join you in the journey. So, it does not matter if something begins with just one early adopter.
