On Thursday, an Indian movie called Radhe Shyam, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, launched its trailer in a metaverse.
The trailer is hosted on Spatial’s metaverse which claims to be a “Metaverse for Culture, Exhibitions, Events, and Experiences.”
One can create an avatar n the metaverse and enjoy the trailer.
The launch created a ripple among all netizens as it was trending at #2 on Twitter in India.
It is claimed to be the first movie to have its trailer launched in a metaverse.
The movie’s director elatedly stated that “Radhe Shyam makes history, redefines the future!. For the first time ever in the world, a film’s trailer is all set to be launched in the metaverse !”
Anyone can enjoy the trailer in the digital representation of the real world in the comfort of a bedroom.
With further advancement in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Hologram technology, in the future people could digitally be present in a real-world presentation. Metaverse would then be a place where people would not be using avatars. Rather, their own self would be the avatar.
